If you had a writing motto what would it be?
A plot is never linear.

Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw inspiration from many places, but mainly people watching, music and reading genres other than fantasy.

What is one interesting fact about you?
I am an avid reader and collector of comics with over 15,000 comics in my personal collection, and many hardback fantasy books.

Have you learned anything from the self publishing process and would you do anything differently next time?
I have had a very good relationship with my publisher, Burning Willow Press and they partnered me with a very good editor, who really helped me fine tune my manuscript and a cover artist how got into my mind when we developed the cover artwork, so I would not do anything differently.

What has been your most successful marketing strategy?
This is my first delve into marketing and so my learning curve is very steep and still in its infancy. I am hoping to gain interviews and or reviews in my local press, use Facebook contacts and hoping that by promoting Underground Book Reviews, I will receive reciprocal sales.

What is the best kept secret you have found in regard to indie publishing?
Best kept secret is the fact that there are a great bunch of people who are constantly trying help and promote indie authors.
