I'm an indie book publisher, for myself and other authors. I enjoy designing and formatting books and creating original covers. Retaining control of my book's design, release date, placement and royalties are other factors that prompted my decision to self publish.
I edit as I write. I also send advance copies to several author friends who proofread. I have used the proofreading services of Tammy Payne for this book.
Dear Chantelle
I would like to ask you to consider reviewing my June 2016 release: Agony of Being Me & Finding You (duo) which has been well-received by reviewers on Amazon.
This particular listing is for Finding You which is part two of Agony of Being Me, a YA Romance/Drama. However, it's recommended you read Agony first to fully appreciate book two. I would be happy to supply both books.
The story follows Zoe & Jesse, two very strong characters, in their struggle to survive trauma and loss and recover interrupted love. While Zoe buries herself in music, Jesse vents with a paintbrush. They each set aside their future aspirations to travel diametrically opposed paths in search of regaining control of their lives and emotions. At times, extremely intense and hard-hitting, I believe you will find the characters compelling and easy to fall in love with, especially sensitive and warmhearted Jesse.
Although the story is a bit rough and gritty at times, it's also filled with the promise of sweet young love. As with all of my books, this duo contains twists and turns. I would be happy to send you a paperback or Kindle copy of Agony of Being Me & a Kindle copy of Finding You which has just been released and is not yet in paperback.
I hope you find interest and desire to read and review my books.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Victoria Valentine
Zoe has come of age. Her body survived a brutal attack but her soul has yet to recover. Deeply embedded emotional scars have changed the course of her life, influencing the once levelheaded girl’s future. Haunted by loss and tragic memories, she struggles to fight her way through an urban high school so different from the suburban haven in which she grew up. Zoe is quickly transformed from innocent to seasoned, softhearted to hard-headed, discarding her dreams of law school to join a rock band.
Zoe Channing, the girl everyone loves. Everyone but Zoe, the teen with buried secrets threatening her soul. Music is her salvation, art is Jesse’s. He vents with a paintbrush while she tours with a rock band. Can she live through the aftermath of tragedy? Will a song bring him home?
